The end of the week saw another few scenes shot for The Last Line over two days. Although we didn’t get as much done as planned everything went smoothly and the cast and crew did a great job! I’ll get some stills from the camera up soon but for now here’s some behind the scenes shots..

Finally I’ve had time to get up some more stills from the first scene we shot. The scene takes place in the gypsy tent featuring the stars of the movie, Kay and Anna, otherwise known as Cheri and Madam Zorab.. We erected a 3 meter square gazebo in my lounge to create the gypsy tent.. needless to say it got pretty hot in there with all the lights!

The Zen of the Cliffs..

Recently I got back from filming out in the beautiful Purbecks in Dorset, UK with more shots for the Alan Watts documentary.. hopefully some of the images will be used in narrating his philosophy or his life.

Here’s some behind the scenes stills from the recent shoots. Thank you abandoned old night club which is now set to become apartments!

Some more shots from the shoot. More to come soon!

The Zen of collaboration!

React Films is pleased to be involved with an upcoming documentary about philosopher Alan Watts who is credited with introducing the teachings of the Far East to generations in the West.  Even the creators of South Park have been moved to create animations to audio by this great philosopher! If you’ve never heard this enigmatic and entertaining philosopher speak grab yourself some inspiration HERE and prepare to have you mind opened. Find out more about the man and his legacy at alanwatts.org Check back soon for updates on how React Films is helping with this exciting new project.

Location scouting: Poole’s old town

Some of the alley ways to be use in the film, through which jazz echos and lures Cheri down to her meeting with fate at a makeshift, beatnik, hangout-joint.

The Last Line

I’m pleased to announce that pre-production has begun on a new React Films short film called The Last Line.  The story centers around a young writer called Cheri who is struggling to finish her latest piece. With a deadline of the following morning, that night she embarks on surreal journey into a shadowy world of fortune tellers, jazz, beatniks and dreams in order to find inspiration for the last line of her story.

Written and being produced and directed by myself, Ross Wilson, the film should enter principle photography around mid June 2011.
